Brucato when looking at live data on the program

OK!!!! so I was messing around with how I am going to remove the old map sensor that is in my PCU and the hot glue let go of the original potting. I was able to see the map sensor someone installed was a MPX53GP, that is the wrong one as this pcu operates the motor but just dumps fuel big time and you can hardly keep the motor running. Then I saw under the map sensor and the original map sensor part number image is actually in the original potting material! IT IS MPX2050GP!!!
I had to get the image flipped to read it but there it is below. But looks like the 53GP sensor is for 3V power and the 2050GP is for 10V power, other than that all specs are about the same, like operating pressure is both 7 psi. Accuracy is a little different also.

Hopefully I didn't hurt anything. But too the wrong MAP sensor out. Waiting on the new one and by buddy from way back fixes amps or whatever ya call an electric guitar speaker things. But he should have no problem installing the new one. Too bad I have no motors together to test it on once repaired. Chit.

You don't have to solder it to the board! You could just use jumper wires and mount the sensor somewhere else

The leads are still there. They just look really short in the picture. Also not sure but my buddy I think has the stuff to remove the solder and actually do it to the board. He may just go to the lead that a are there from the original sensor also. He will decide that. But new sensor should be here soon. Would be cool if it makes this PCU useable.

Pretty sure the reading for MAP in the original PCU was millibars. At ambient pressure (key on, engine off, at sea level), you would see 1000mb.

My engine with a laser intake idles about 80 to 85 kpa
In the video with the pcu you see around 600 units at idle
So its off by a factor of 2 which makes sense since its a 50 kpa sensor so 1 kpa in real life is 2 kpa for the sensor giving a better resolution to the poor vacuum of the 2 stroke

New one installed thanks to my buddy. Now will test it and see what it reads on the computer and will run it on a motor tomorrow. Will just hot glue it on again for potting compound

it ran the motor way better on the trailer. I need to find some better potting compound as the hot glue does not want to adhere well to the existing silicone potting compound. anyone have some ideas/suggestions?

Your buddy does not have silicone potting!?
Polyurethaan sealant should work but the potting would be better

All I really need is something that will hold the sensor to the old silicone. I am trying to find some recommended materials.

So it's the correct sensor and reads 950 for manifold pressure at WOT. I wonder if the early pcu's ran at that as usually an ACU is at 1003.

700-800 around my boating locations. I cant believe 950 or 1003 is much a difference if at all in the map sensor to fuel reading on the fuel map.

where i live (below sea level :) ) it can deviate between 98 and 101 Kpa and more extreem 97 to 102 Kpa so those readings are not very off
