The bravo works extremely well on my boat, I can just nail the throttle and it jumps up on plane, I've tried a few trophy props at different heights and holes plugged or open, can't get it on plane like bravo, gotta feather the throttle to get it up, if you talk to Cohen he will tell you 3 blades run best such as the tempest or the mirage, again tho mine is a stepped hull and doesn't like trim or bow lift as much as the old straight bottoms do, have you tried a chopper?

I haven't tried a chopper yet. If I can find a 22 big ear locally I'd try it. I have a beautiful 26 that I tried on my Checkmate but it didn't run any faster than my Trophy and will definitely not work on this thing. I don't know WTF I was doing when I measured last time but I was only 1/4 inch below the bottom. No wonder it was running hot. Anyway, I re-measured it and the lowest it would go is 1½ below. I don't think that's going to be enough so I'll have to figure out how to get it a little lower but I'll give it a whirl like this first.

Good luck with the 24' John ! Sounds like you're having fun propping it now ....you'll find the right prop just a matter of time.

Thanks Keith. I was going to PM you with a question but I'll ask it here. What prop in your experience gives the most bow lift? Most overall lift?

I'm going to say the prop from a helicopter, do i win a prize?
-
Yup. You get to buy me the prop of my choosing. :D
