:thumbsup:I got one and have had 2. Sold the rainbow color one to my brother and we put a 3.0 on it . You better bring it if you roll up beside it. Mine is my lake boat with a real nice motor on it. Love the lines on. Sold the blue one because I had already owned a boat with the same color scheme.
Found it. Happy reading.........

just picked up a 94 typhoon with 200 mer on it. doing a little work on it. i'm impressed with the build. no wood construction, all very quality work and design. just needs some minor electrical work, and the jack plate needs a little attention. cant wait to get it on the water. was able to track down the guy that built it, he had tons of good info for me about it.
anyone have info or pics? really looking for anything i can find out about this boat
wow there is still some of these boats left i love mine doing some work this winter love to talk with other rapid craft owners mine is 92 with3.6 liter 300 evenrude
Hello everyone.
Just found this old thread and thought I may as well revive it...
Last week I bought a pretty clean 1995 Riot with a 2.4 EFI Bridgeport in northern Arkansas for 6500.00
Here is the link to my photo page. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tbiostieio4zngh/QlFV3yVc2Z
I found it was owned by a member here, 95RapidRiot who I have tried to contact with no response.
I've had HydroStreams and STV's but have always liked the Riot.. Just never firgured I'd find one close by that was affordable for me.
Nice find. Floor and transom solid? Does the Bridgport run well?
One issue with the Riot that I suggest all owners check: The gas tank sits on the fiberglass/Klegecell floor, when the tank is full and heavy, pounding across the chop, the forces of the water pushing up on the bottom and the banging weight of the tank pushing down can break down the foam core of the Klegecell. In essence, the core in the area where the tank is can basically become hollow then delaminate when flying across your favorite chop. I just 100% stripped my boat down and had it detailed and freshened up at the shop. Mine was starting to breakdown so I had it taken care of.
Remember, these Riots are now about 20 years old and more than likely they have seen their
share of abuse. To fix the area in question is cheap, a delaminated bottom will probably be the end of your boat and could also be painful if not deadly.
The area in question is the 3 foot section where the gas tank lies. The remainder of the Riot build quality is rock solid.
