I'm sure if you would take .01 less you would be more than welcome to post anywhere on this site. I say you are a troll that wishes he or she owned a few props but then again my crystal ball may not be working properly again tonight. :D
Well I sold my props, and somebody got s scraamin' deal for a set of matched stainless steel 24 pitch chopper props. ( I paid my eBay fees too) I'd just like to thank everybody on this forum that talked smack about me. I was going to leave this alone but ...**** THAT!!!
You guys continued to bad mouth me for several days after I said I was going to leave you alone so, here goes.
I wasn't trying to get around your rules, IF I WAS I WOULD HAVE JUST POSTED IT!!!
I didn't stiff eBay, I ALWAYS PAY MY BILLS
I,m selling stuff to pay my rent, $25 IS A LOT OF MONEY TO ME RIGHT NOW!!!
I JUST ASKED A QUESTION
Nothing more
You guys sure come off as pompous and judgmental.
I was just trying to get in touch with the people that might be interested in what I had, and maybe get one of you guys a good deal. I got $144 for a set of used props that were worth about $800. I might actually be able to pay rent, not that you probably care.
I am TRULY sorry I ever signed up for this forum.
YOU GUYS ARE A CLASS ACT:rolleyes::nonod:
By the way I apologize for the captain obvious remark, but you got to admit it was kind of a smart ass comment, the way you referred me to eBay.
Hi Russel,
I appreciate you joining the site and your willingness to stay within our rules, but please consider that the Team Membership fees go to the operation of this site entirely. Thankfully, we also have advertisers that help to offset our costs as well, but S&F is a very large and active resource and for it to continue to help people into the future, I don't think the cost of Team Membership is much, especially when you consider the cost of Ebay, Boattrader, or similar sites.
Greg
wait... in the span of less than 6 days, you not only created an auction, but you also paid ebay, which doesn't invoice a seller until next monts billing cycle? yea ok. anyhow, congrats on the sale, if you would have paid the 25 dollars here, you could have sold them here for a good bit more money.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/14x24...item45f389dbfd
but you just wanted to dump them quick, why is that? You call them choppers in the auction, but they aren't choppers, they are cleavers. Hmmmm... you didn't know what you had, and you wanted to sell them fast after "just sitting for 2 years"? something is fishy about this situation.
Like I stated I'm not into boat racing. I bought them and some other boat parts (it sounded like a good idea at the time) and no, I didn't know what they were. okay, so there cleavers. Thanks, that's good to know. I'm just cleaning house and trying to scrape together some extra money. I started the auction before I found this site, that's why I got it done in 6 days. and as far as my eBay bill, my eBay feedback speaks for it's self. I'm Russ I live in Post Falls, ID my phone number is 208-625-0834 I'm not trying to hide anything. I'm not trying to pull anything. I'm just a dude selling some stuff trying to pay the rent. ....WOW tough room.
The internet has taught many of us hard lessons... so when red flags are raised, we point them out.
I hope things turn around for you.
I will say, if you sold that pair for $144, you gave them away. But, lucky bid for the winner so I guess everybody is happy.
The pourpose of having to get a $25 membership is VERY carefully thought thru and is specificly designed to keep people from joining just to use the site to sell things, there have been hundredes and thousands of folks try to sell boating items here and never use the site for anything else, so the $25 is just a way of keeping the "fly by night" guys out.
how did ya get the name "Vintage steel" anyway? old cars? old trucks?
Russell, happy you sold your props, sad you feel S&F'ers are pompous cuz this is probably the most comprehensive collection of powerboaters who always go out of their way to assist/answer any questions! They do get salty at times, but only in fun!IMHO.$25.00 is still cheaper than dinner and a movie![it's a ''steel'']I'd be willing to bet if you posted you needed help paying your rent, someone here would offer to help!
I stand by my origional reply to this thread.:D
