Quick question
I have not heard from Kay Marshall
Did she recover ok?
You mean Mrs. Indestructible?——- Haven’t heard from Mick or Kevin in quite a while———- afraid irs me that’s been a bit remiss———— will rectify that today and get back to you Pilgrim!
Go ahead Pilgrim——— I once hauled Craig’s boat from Milan to Chalon-Sur-Seine ——— over the alps and delivered it safely. Must have been a good sign——-he won the race. Only race I ever remember Craig winning in the Fonda series.
Happy Easter Sunday people ——— been a a nice quiet time up to now——- just the way I like it. Had two good days in the shop———— did some work on SOG——- rearranged the workbench——— tidied up the electrics———— chucked out a load of stuff I haven’t used in a couple of years.
Her indoors decided we needed new sheets, so got the old ones and cut them up into twelve inch squares to use as rags, dusters and cleaning cloths. Four king size sheets do make one hell of a sackful of cleaning cloths!
Great thing about Easter in England——-it’s spread over four days——and there’s still two to go.
Might even get the SOG finished———— if I do I’ll post a piccie tomorrow.
Bon Continuation Avec Le Pasque Vacance ?
To you, and all the rest of you Limey's...Happy Easter. It's 5 O'clock and I'm about to sit down to a large plate of Fettucchini Alfredo w/Shrimp. Please excuse me.;)
Happy Easter Jackie
Im having a great Easter Dave——- three full and uninterrupted days in the shop——- SOG Nearly there——— in theory, should be able to finish it tomorrow———no problemo !
Watch this space—— turning into a “Duesey”——— for this one, I just let the little grey cells fun wild, even surprised myself!
Happy Easter to you and yours
Happy Easter To All!!!! Glad your see your havin a good one Jackie!

Easter Monday ———- last day of the first break in 2018—— and I’m here to see it, what more can a man ask for?
A call from one or more of the kids would have been nice——-but, you can’t have everything———- just be happy with what you got!
Made big strides into the SOG concept——- should have it all wrapped up come close of play, ready for the next piece of nonsense, still got that NGK trophy wandering about in the think box and there’s a great looking “PREDATOR” I rather fancy having a crack at.
So, there’s no sign of a let up just yet——— ideas keep formulating——— the race never stops——- unless your an OMC fan of course—— then if stopped forty years ago, with the demise of the V8—- still, it did give them some fond memories to play over and over again. Good job they have a few memories to help them along the way——— sure as hell ain’t got anything else going for em these days.
Looking at the NGK Seebold series——— the European F1 series——- the various offshore classes——- the P1 series——— I notice the colour black remains dominant—— funny how the far eastern brigade of outboards were rarely used in competition——-only time you see a “RUDE” these days is at Tavares or Lassies “OMC FACTS THREAD”
Sorry ‘bout that——-wasn’t meaning to be bitchy——- just appertaining to THE FACTS———- nothing but the facts!
The P1 offshore are still rudes in the UK arent they?
Did a reasonable job for many years I assume?
Had a good morning in the shop——— virtually finished “SOG” then decide to put a row of eight fish poles above the radar arch——— after all, it is supposed to be a fish boat.
Will post a piccy or two later in the day——- turned out to be a bit of all right in the end!
Jackie. I will be in the UK for a few days the first week of June. Going to visit the base where my Dad was stationed during the war and do the usual other tourist stuff. Then to Ireland to visit the town my Grandfather left in 1908 and more tourist stuff
Exactly where was your dad stationed in the uk? North , Midlands, South, give me an idea and let’s take it from there.
Cant help you with the Irish part of your history——- been there a couple of times, but have a very limited knowledge of the country.
Also, 1908 was a bloody long time ago, even by my standards!

Thats me on the left——- Renato centre——— my son Mark Far right.
Collecting my First Molinari.
Renato was seventeen at that time and Angelo was teaching him how to build boats.
Thats taken at the Como factory————long before he got tied into Mercury and the factory at Torriggia. The factory was still owned by Jeremiah Cetti at that time turning out the “Torriggia” craft?
I still maintain the opinion that THE MAGNUM was a Torriggia and not a Molinari as the rest of the world believes.
But, who am I to argue——-
Bob V or Fuji ——- need a little help here——— picture was the right way up when I pulled it from the files———- honest to murgatroyd.

Jesus wept ——— I give up—— it’s been a long day——- Easter’s Been and gone and I’m off to bed!
Picture don’t take a lot of working out——— if you ever took part in the first five minutes, then you were living the life!
Dad was based at a field located in Parham. This is a small farming community Northeast of London. My cousin, myself and our wives will be recreating a trip made by our parents many years ago. The land is still owned by the same family and they never took down the WWII tower. This has now been converted into a small museum dedicated in part to the 390th Bomb Group. Don't know what our schedule will be. I am fortunate to have in my cousin ,my own personal travel agent and tour guide. I have had to do almost nothing to plan this trip
Now I live fifteen minutes from Parham———- which is a massive country estate housing ridiculously valuable paintings by TURNER and such notables.
Its situated in Petworth West Sussex——— which is South West of London. Are we talking about the same Parham———- famous also for point to point horse racing ?
The place we are going to is a little ways northeast of Ipswitch. At least that is the closest city of any size in the area.
I would, but then you will no longer need my services. Also, this is the only bargaining chip I have to stay off the notorious "Naughty Step." Poor Willabee is only about 6 months into his 40 year sentence that you bestowed upon him...
All kidding aside, that is a great picture of you, Renato and Mark. Thanks for posting...

This was Pruett at six months old———- he loved the snow and females ! Had him for over sixteen years. Now her who shall always be obeyed is seriously looking for another—— life begins at 86 these days———- wonder where the years went from when I was forty?
OK, most American airbases were in and around Suffolk———- Bob Spalding worked with the USA forces up there———- if you go there in June, you should call in at the Lowestoft and Oulton Broad raceboat Club———— they have races every other Thursday evening when the tide is right.
Lackenfield ? Don’t know why this rings a bell——— maybe that’s where Bob worked !
The base was known as Framlingham (see google) I was fortunate enough to have been taken there on a visit several years ago..well worth it especially for someone like your goodself with a family link.....Try to get a minute or two on your own with no distractions, dead fields are very emotive...
I hope you enjoy your visit to England.....

The “SOG” ——- taken it as far as I want to go———- trouble with these damn concepts is———— I could keep on adding bits for the rest of my life, but I have other fish to fry!
Attachment 403621For crying out loud, what the hells wrong with this old iPad of mine———it’s got a bloody mind of its own !
All I did was pick a piccie out of the files ( the right way up ) and the damnuseless piece of modern technology inverts it ?
Or maybe it’s me !
Anyway , question is this———- who remembers “MISS TITTIE”. Twin stacker Molinari with the weird S bottom ———- really Did haul asse——— but the bitch was a tad lively and unpredictable——- Renato dumped it rather heavily in practice, so it never made the start line——- Havasu 1969 If memory serves me right ?
I believe it went back to Oshberg for major surgery, I kinda lost track of it after that ?
C’mon Gene or Willabee——— one of you should remember what happened to the dear girl .
Oh yes, that’s Ridgell in the Blanket jacket——— Him, Pruett and I bought one apiece at the Indian Trading post ——— somewhere in Arizona ?
I do believe I have a picture somewhere of Ridgell,Pruett and Downard!
Bomber stations were usually situated in the NorthEast and the flatlands of Norfolk and Suffolk———- whilst the fighters squadrons were based mainly in the south, usually along the coast of Kent , Sussex and Hampshire Theres half a dozen old wartime stations within ten minutes of my house, Tangmere (has a great museum). Ford ( navy hunter station ) Selsey, and many more long forgotten airfields.
My dad was stationed at Linton-on -Ouse just outside York——— he flew 36 ops over Germany and survived———- 406 squadron——- flew “Halifax’s”———- just saying!
