ETEC! Story from the Chain of Lakes. Had a lake house 2 down from the old (just torn down going condo..grrr)..Happy Ours Resort. On Pistakee, halfway between Pistakee Marina on HWY 12, and "Eagle Point"..(Joes "puppet bar"..also gone now)
Owners lived there, and I was going out with the daughter back then. She was tending the bar..(loved those free drinks!)..and its a late, dull, saturday night.
Late, a bunch show up, and they look worn out, and beat up. Go into the bar, get an order bunch drinks, then to the pool room..shoot a little stick.
so my girlfriends is in some "tizzy"...she tells me.."ya know who there are?...no?"..THATS DEF LEOPARD, THE BAND!! We left them be, like we never knew just who they were..the 'limelight"...sucks when ya just wanna be yerself...they had just played somewhere that night..

Ever hit Eagle Point bar..the famous "Puppet Bar". Joe ran it, he was a magician. Real character!:eek:. If ya played the right song the jukebox, (he always told me..to set the crowd off)..the lights would go out, and then all KINDS of stuff started to happen. he had a mass of what looked like normal, just puppets, behind the bar, but then the they all lite up, animated, and a zillion other "effects".
