Drove inspection and the setup men nuts! Then someone noticed as the sun passed over the skylights, it fell right on the machinery and warmed everything up! Just enough to throw pinbores out of whack! A couple cans of Merc Phantom Black over the skylights and we solved our problem.
Great story!!! We had a problem with some B2 fuselage pieces once. The machine beds were built atop some tidal mud flats in Seattle. The machining would be "off" at certain times of the day. It turned out to be "tidal pull" from the nearby Duwamish river. Thermals cause problems for everybody. Bridges, airplanes, you name it!
