Jackie..Why did you not race the 2 liter inboard class in Paris instead of forcing you in to the 2 liter outboard class (ON)..??
Most of my Swedish friends race cats in the 2 liter inboard class in Paris and won the inboard class.
As and outboard driver inboards was a pain.. much heavier and they made larger waves (because of the weight) and was more difficult to pass then an outboard boat in the same class.
My personal opinion is.. it was crazy to mix up outboards with rule bending inboards in the same class.
Lassie, you have to understand, it was much more FUN bending the rules and racing with the outboards as you well know, nobody ever”forced” me to race anywhere——— I remember you running all sorts of “funny “ brews and special one off motors to get an edge over the rest. So don’t go giving me any of that HOLIER THAN THOU crap.
I would have thought that Paris was wide enough and long enough to get past any boat if you really wanted to.
Passing people during a race is mandatory———- it’s what we do. If an inboard is more difficult to pass than Outboard ———— well tough titty———- live with it.
Ok Lassie, you don’t HAVE TO race inboards and outboards together———- so which one ( in your opinion) should stay at home.
Me myself have always been of the opinion that you run what you brung——- put up, or shut up..
Without a doubt, the two biggest girls blouses for bitching and moaning were OMC AND MERCURY.
If you can run with a hundred foot Siene barge then a rule bending inboard shouldn’t pose too much of a problem.
No such thing as an Outboard in the same class as an inboard,
If only drivers wouldn’t be such “WUZZERS “
