I've never seen these photos before. Did they all test as a group? All the numbers are sequential? All owned by Mercury? What influenced the decison (LH vs RH) on where the driver ended up sitting?

I suspect putting the driver right in the middle of the wing killed a lot of lift. I recall seeing this boat in the 1966 9 Hour race.
