It does? I don't see any resemblance whatsoever when I lined up the pics below. Btw, I checked and your old 2003 Superboat is now in Australia.

Good looking boats but those stepped bottoms give some handling worries.

You could load all the Strong Island Mafia in that rig! Think of the arguments. Rob, what do you think about the twin steps on that 22?
The 22 above has only a 6ft max beam. Toit https://static.wixstatic.com/media/2...78cab7f125.jpg
And a narrow beam like that with 2 large steps? Attention needed when taking any turns.
Two steps and three lifting strakes. Lot going on with that hull at only six ft wide......
I'm From Malta and have a 22ft Speedcraft with a 250XS. The Chaudrons are very quick boats! The Chaudron 22 with a 300 XS does around 95 mph set up for top end. Whats impressive is the 25 Chaudron which does 90 MPH with full interior etc weighing in 2700 lbs less fuel! Here in Malta we are plagued with rough water since we are just a little island in the middle of the Mediterranean so narrow hull deep vee boats are a must! Anything less then 21 degrees and your get pounded badly!
Here are a few pics and vids of my boat running alone and and with the 22ft Chaudron. My Speedcraft is 22ft long with a 5 1/2 ft beam. My particular boat is built out of Carbon/aramid with Epoxy so its quite light weighing around 1700 lbs ready to run. (can get it lighter with some minor mods) Best speed was 100.4 MPH totally stripped and set up for max speed with race canopy etc. However I tried a new prop a short while ago and got 97 MPH with 2 people on board with full interior, gear etc. So with a taller pitch and 200 lbs lighter i'll definitely be over 100 easy.
