There is a lot more going on in this picture-------
But ECK insisted that every racing unit--especially the BP --follow this procedure--
I don't remember ever having enough time to do this---

A couple decades ago, I purchased the book (probably $20). I took the Iron Fist book-jacket off and mounted it by my fresh-water aquarium. I shelved the book to read later. Now I do not have the book jacket and the aquarium.
I never got around to reading the book. And you’re welcome to read my copy - free, if you can find it, because I do not know where it is located.
BTW social media sites like S&F (including Fujimo’s thread & all you guys’ contributions & stories) are a good substitute of info, especially when you cannot find a book of substance.

A decade ago, I use to work for an OEM helicopter company.
Every bird went through a 3 to 5 hour test flight. After passing inspection the chopper was ready for the new owner to take possession.
After the test flight, the company would drain the gear box lube looking for metal shaving or any other contamination. Also, the oil was drained and the oil filter was cut open to look for metal shavings and contamination. This procedure was preformed on 4 & 6 cylinder Lycoming (360 & 540) engines.
Also found on Airboats.
