The photos of high speed boats 4 and 5 feet out of the water are some of the best marine shots I have ever seen.
I am one of the older guys and have witnessed rope started 5 HP outboards being used at remote back water fish camps to todays 300+ HP engines. It is like going from horse and buggy to the space shuttle.
I never really cared for Carl, but without his strong personality and drive, none of this would have been done.
Yes. there would be outboards, but not at this level.
