Damn, a new story, forgotten! Went the SoCal, out Illinois, many times, youth, did the "Mother Road", in the 50's, as a kid, plus later, planes, Tri Tail "Connie", and the first 707 jet. Anyway, I was in SoCal when the Hula Hoop came out there. Mom bought one, dragged it back Illinois. Took two weeks for the nation wide sell. I was the hit on the kids then, the new "thing!"
Later, my Aunt..( at then , was just crowned ..'Ms. Texas", and moved Illinois, married my moms brother. SO, 1965ish?..Chubby Checker does .."The Twist!".and my aunt got that old hula hoop out, and showed us..in the 40's.."heres how its done!":thumbsup:

Can't beat a good time on a sled! I'm kinda prepping for "getting wet" here, get a bike out, need a ride, as winter over after January. Just a long spring coming, not cold, not warm, still gray days and drizzle. Still cracks me up people who don't sled.."don't ya get cold?" "Ya kidding?"..(come back sweating with all the gear on, and the work needed to man handle the beast!)
