A little under the weather today; sore throat, head ache etc. Life on the couch ain't so bad.
Johno, life on the couch sucks and you know it as well as do, what's the problem?
Have finished your ROTORY--------there's no more I can do, if you don't like the adhesive decals, just peel 'em off, it's solid polished walnut underneath.
Can I send it to ROTORY John, Georgia, USA, you think that would find you?
send me your address via P/M or --------jackwilson@macace.net. It's all ready for shipping.
Looked at the four ROTORIES and the V8 and felt like a traitor, but having said that, I learned so much about carving gear cases out of a solid billet, I reckon I could now do a bloody good facsimile of ANY gear case, OMC, MERCURY, racing or club foot -----even offshore.
So I looked at Watermarks sprint Molli and decided it would have a fair " concept" of a 1000 BP.
Started doing the power head in softwood----moved down to that agricultural centre section, carved it and shaped it, spokeshave, tenon saw, chisel and sanding block, I was chuffed to buggary with the shape so I gave it six coats of black and made a gear case to weep over, half way through the steering wing when Jilly came to the shop door with a very large CC7. End of story!
If it all comes together the way I think it will, I'll show you piccies tomorrow Me gone, MYGGWY.J.
That's the trouble with "Colonials", they only speak basic English-----dialect is much more descriptive Mark ? But you'll get used to it------chuffed to buggary translates to VERY HAPPY INDEED !
If you would like the piece before November---------postage should be around $50----down to you!
Will need an address or would M.R.CANADA. find you?
if I get far enough into it, will post some piccies to see if your still up for it, J.
Been a Brahma of a day up to now, did the car boot at Ford. Spent an absolute fortune ! Found a Festool circular saw kit , a mountain of tools and a superb glasS golf trophy, raided the pedal and crank( bank to colonials). Been there ten times of late and found nothing that lit my candle, but today ------we ate bear!
I was hot in the shop today, big strides with the walnut wing, finished the BP but am not sure it's what watermark wants. Me myself think the 17' Molli has turned out better than the sprint, so I think the best combination is the BP and the 17' for Watermark.
Have a couple of phoggies for you to peruse, see what you think, give me three hours.
Jackie: Check you private message on this site. My e-mail doesn't recognize your e-mail.
John
As my sainted mother used to say" there's always one"- not many places in the world I don't get Emails from, EVEN CANADA. Try again. Mine cannot possibly be wrong, all lower case!
Got your PM and have answered it!
How you feeling today------tell you what Johno, pour yourself a large malt and hot lemon juice, it's ok to open my bottle!
Should have done the BP in hardwood, softwood marks every time I drop it, which is frequently nowadays----definitely looks better on the 17' Molli. Will make another top in oak, I don't have any two inch mahogany or walnut left.
Will show you what the long boat looks like with it stitched to its rear Mark, tell me which one you want!
Jackie: No can do. I gave up booze right after OFF the last time I was there. It's beer only now a days.Still feeling under the weather, but getting better. I copied your e-mail address directly from your post and pasted it to my e-mail. It said it didn't recognize it. So I guess the PM worked fine.

Just to to show I was not sat on my rectum all day----managed to get half a dozen coats of sealer filler on the walnut wing------beginning to de-clutter the shop a little, a pair of twisters with pipes should suffice on this one.
Going to get some Beauty sleep early tonight, more ramblings tomorrow, MYGGWY.J.
By the cringe it's feckin freezing cold here today, so what happens the boiler goes on strike, no hot water, no central heating, means no shower, no shower means you can probably smell my whereabouts in the USA AND CANADA.
not a happy situation, we've had two teams, plumbing and heating "engineers"----even the dustbin mans an engineer these days.
Am not a happy bunny , rigor mortis sets in too easily when there's no heating, my draughty old workshop seems like St. Trop compared to my house.
Spittin feathers at the minute, let you know if the village pond freezes over!
Been a funny old day-----I got a bad dose of "SWITZERITUS"---- did a matching pair of BP/s in mahogany, was determined to turn up six pipes that looked halfway decent' had an old shower head with 12 arms made out of chromed brass. Dismantled it carefully and stuck one of the arms in the lathe , bored the megaphone end first---reversed it, then turned the taper. Did that six times plus the two I screwed up -drilled the power head and fitted the six megaphones.
They were meant for the walnut wing, but the black was saying "me, me, me" so I gave em a try on IT , they have to be black motors, polished mahogany does not look right. Maybe they'll look ok on the w/w. But still have a way to go before that happens! That was really all I got done today before it was knocking off time.
Leave for Gatwick at 3:30am so I'm OUTA here, MYGGWY .j.
In the end , there was no room for me in the Lexus so I got to stay in bed.
Two of Jills kids and baby Betty, complete with pram, push chair and potty was about all the lexus could handle, Jilly crept back into bed around 6:00am.
Its the start of the Bank holiday weekend here in the UK,
Last night was horse racing at Fontwell, today is "Glorious Goodwood" ---chaos and carnage everywhere, good time to stay home and savour what we have here.
Have a fair few motors to construct, gear cases to carve, Gary sent me a bunch of those beautiful props I told you about.
Saw a horrendous picture of MISS GEICO on fire, that is a winters work of Gary and Craig so I must ring them and find out the right story, give me six hours!
You forgot to update on the most important fact....Did you get the feckin boiler up and running ???
