Hi there Lake X kid..I love your posts..
First time I was at Lake X was in 1959. I knew your dad, Bill and Steve, in fact that was when I met Steve, Your dad wanted me to be an instructor at his school, Chuck Mersereau and Charlotte and Denny lived near by. I forgot the daughters name, Johnny Bakos was also a friend, I think Joe Anderson was running the lake and George Thompson was EC's right hand man. Also met Bobby Walwork as we were picking up a couple Raveaus from Marcel. I got his fishing boat that was on top of his car with a Merc 400.. Everyone was so nice and friendly.. We were eating in the little restaurant, Mr. K was there with his dog. I was with Phil and Rosemary Young as I worked for him and took care of his fleet of Raveaus. I was done eating and wanted to go outside and look around and Mr.K came out with his dog and started talking to me. I was scared to death. First time I ever saw him and he was right in front of me.. THE MAN!! Talking to me like we were friends. I was only 17. Well I won a lot of races for him and whenever he saw me he would say hello and thank me for a good race result.
I do have a question for you, where was the mysterious wood shop that was off limits? I heard the Entrop Hydro was in there and was dying to see and touch it. Never did. When Chuck died I was in the Marines and on a ship. After Vietnam we were stationed in Oceanside Ca. We called Charlotte and went by to see her. Denny was there too, and getting to be a bigger guy.. He had a truck and was fixing it up. Had a great chat with him while Treasure and Charlotte chatted..
Your dad was always a good friend to me and I admired him.

Hu took the hydro back to Seattle and raced it there, it didn't stay at the Lake, it belonged to Hu.
