Lars, I hope you don't mind this comparison of Mercury and OMC. I just finished my Looper Beast and started working on a 1949 Mercury KF5. I get accused as being an OMC guy, and wanted to dispel that rumor. I'm even thinking of adapting the KF5 to the Looper as a starter motor. No malice intended - just thought this made for a good size comparison. Size DOES matter - 5HP - ~450HP
