I saw transom stand heading north out of Rocky hill at about 4:00 today. I was coming up from Middletown. Conditions were fantastic. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same. I didn't see any leaves. South of rocky hill����

I guess everyone has a plan by now....a few 21's will be launching from Baldwin Bridge Boat Launch reluctantly at 9-9:30 am. Then heading north to Haddam meeting area.

Safe trip to all....... we all meet next on the Ct river ! :thumbsup:

Conditions look to be settling down for a Greenport launch. 13 miles across roughly and winds from the West which helps................


Forecast as of 6:24 PM EDT on October 19, 2013. Small Craft Advisory in effect from 2 am EDT Sunday through Sunday afternoon for Long Island Sound East Of New Haven Ct/Port Jefferson Ny-
Saturday Night - SW winds 10 to 15 kt...becoming W 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt after midnight. Seas 1 to 2 ft...building to 2 to 3 ft after midnight. Isolated showers early.
Sunday - W winds 15 to 20 kt...diminishing to 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon Sunday. Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft.
Sunday Night - W winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas around 2 ft.

The leaves on the trees are not moving at all Gardeners bay is dead calm unless something drastically changes in the next six hours there will definitely be a window of opportunity for 21's to make the morning dash. I will take another peek outside around 4am but as of right now wind is blowing at about not blowing enough to move the weather vain.........

Just checked ....central Long island sound conditions just now showing 3.6' wave heights east of port Jefferson harbor with wind picking up and worst conditions expected thru 4pm today.

Meeting with other 21' soon and on our way !

The sun is coming up. Looks to be a great day. Launching 9:30 in Chester. See you all in Haddam then Rocky hill. Drive fast and be safe!

Just read through all of this and hope none of you boneheads have decided to cross. This is supposed to be a fun day and hate to see anyone get hurt. Unfortunately, my motor is done for the season so i will be sitting this one out. Looking forward to pictures later on. Be safe everyone
