Short story about Ian Boulton... Ian bought Jeff Titus's SE around 1978. I went with Dad to deliver the rig to Ian at the Stadium and also test my Midget runabout. Ian ran the SE a few laps then came in to talk before heading out for a few more laps. We watched him come down the back stretch and spectacularly blow over. We were all really lucky because Ian was not hurt and the boat landed upright after a complete 360. A family that was water skiing brought him in. Dad asked him what happened...Ian said that he hit the trim and it gained 2mph so he hit it again and it gained another 2. So he hit it again... Ian went on to very successfully campaign that boat before selling it to Danny Critchfield, who also blew it over testing.
