I Too have been hanging out with the West Sussex wild life here in Walburton, I have MURPHY our adopted mini feline-----more wildcat than any Puma or Lynx, Cougar or Cheetah.
Living right next door is "Dangerman Dickie Durdle" (bad assed builder).
On my right I have Stevie ( Stavros.)Horton! Who has 13 acres of woodland and three trout lakes and sings like Elvis.
So you see Mark, I live in my own little "Costa del Walburton " just poke my head OUTA the door and I'm living the dream.
We have several pairs of Buzzards living in Steves garden------driving down the lane last Saturday, this big old but beautiful male buzzard started to dive bomb the Lexus, made three passes, filled the windscreen------and before you ask, no, I had done nothing to provoke him except move in next door nearly four years ago.
Simply pointing out, it all happens here in Walburton.
Put the cavitation plate and gear case on the ROTORY-----have to tell you Johhno, it really is beginning to look the part----this walnut rotor motor looks like a beast .
The sprint Molli looks so much better with deeper sponsons, I've decided to do the 17' likewise.
Will explain the piccies in a couple of hours
Finally I got the top coat on the WARBY boat,
17' MOLLY nearly there,
Walnut ROTORY waiting for stand and steering bar.
Frantic sort of day, so much to do, so little time to do it in.
Sam leaves for Florida early hours of Saturday----I need to pack Rogers big wing ---a couple of little wings, some golf trophies and a ROTORY by tomorrow close of play.
Have the four projects under way at once and need to finalise them SAP, they will be on hold until next week.
Did get another coat of wax on both Molly's-----just have to cobble a pair of in lines and gear cases, no sign of any props from the U.S. Yet , and I'm all out of stock.
We leave for Seville 5 am next Wednesday and I would like a clean slate to come back to. Jilly thinks I need some culture and a visit to the ALHAMBRA PALACE might help (me myself do not concur)
Will Have to send the sprint GPO, Dhl or pony express, will not be finished by Friday, sorry 'bout your bad luck Mark!
Same thing with your ROTORY Johnno----afraid that will not be finished until Tuesday either.
Casey my granddaughter got it about right-----" Grandad, it looks like a flipping boat factory in here". OUTA the mouth of babes an all that '!!
Had my nose pretty close to the grindstone today so it's "Short ramblings " tonight. Bugs bite,MYGGWY.J.

You can make life more interesting if you pack your garbage like this and leave it next to the bin for two or three days before the garbage collectors are due
Went to the car boot and spent a fortune on a variety of things, A couple of lilac trees for the garden, a3" Black and Decker sander-----a couple of beautiful 19th century brass and beech spokeshaves, and a superb air engraver. And a huge suitcase for the wings.
Took a lot of time mounting Johnnos ROTORY and Mark's Molli sprint, both are looking good.
Beard trim and haircut this morning, beginning to look like a milestone inspector, then up country for lunch.
Won't be in the shop at all today, have to take the suitcase with Rogers wing and all the other usa bound bits up to daughter SAM'S.
Well, you know what they say, "All work and no play" makes for a very strange bedfellow, catch you later.J.
Really scraped the bottom of the barrel for lunch today, went to a grot-box of a pub called the White Swan-------they should rename it the "Dog and Vommit ! Crap food and lousy service, waitress had the "Slapped arse Face" on. Thought that sort of grub had not been served in this country since 1945, no, I won't be rushing back for seconds.
Don't look like anyone missed me while I was gone----Everyone's gone to the moon!
Did manage to get an hour in the shop, re did the ROTORY stand and modded the steering bar, will finish it on Monday.
Will line up the three projects and take a couple of piccies, see what you think! Night, MYGGWY.J.
Seems like only yesterday it was LAST weekend and here the bugger is again, got a whole day to myself so will simply crack on and get things finished.
Different kettle of fish on Sunday, got four of the kids coming to a roast leg of pork lunch, so I just know "Madame" is going to demand the closure of the shop.
Just leaves Monday and Tuesday for tidying the shop and shutting it down for a week.
Will send you a couple of "Progress " pictures to show you some of the tricks this particular old fart gets up to lunch time today, watch out for them! j.
