What was the original idea behind these inlets? I never saw a cowl that had actual cutouts and there wasn't any room inside for any kind of spray plenum? Mercury racing went to a great deal of effort to include these inlets in the cowl tooling molds and then stopped doing anything with them. This cowl design was around for quite a few years but the bottom pan was awful. Flexed too much and had a tendency to crack.Quote:
