I bought a silent Bambi compressor from a young man who lived in Bognor Regis, took me into his workshop and there was a part built Sunbeam S7 of 1950/s era, we got to chatting and after a while he told me he was a "Chippie" (Carpenter), Yesterday morning TED delivered the compressor to the new workshop--------just before he left he asked me how old I was, so I told him 85 in a couple of weeks! He then said-----how about I come over Sunday morning and build your benches and shelves, I have three brothers who are all carpenters, so I'll see if I can get some help. What time can we start?
Upshot of all this is, at 9:00 am he's coming to start on my new workshop------turns out here are still some very nice people in the world who just reach out and give you a lift when it's least expected!
