2018 Parker Enduro

Because there was so much money in the calcutta. Instead of starting from qualifying times, they picked numbers. He was last at # 18 all the way down by the casino. Didn't matter, they had that boat set to go 110 on the button.
Brand new prop slung a blade off on the second lap. Way too brittle.
Track announcer said he was on the bottom. He said he was sitting on the bank for an hour and a half waving at the safety crew. :cool:

Now I have a question .. :rolleyes:

If you miss a corner marker , and circle back around quickly and go around the corner marker correctly.
#1) There is no infraction , therefore no penalty.
#2) Lose a full lap ... ( please explain )

Agree Chaz and why I was spooked that it was Duff in the accident...plus the yellow bow sticking up from the water and not seeing him coming by us anymore. Don't understand the penalty, he corrected the mistake himself and it cost him time alone by doing that. :confused:

I watched the live feed and altho I saw maybe one boat circule back and correct missing the turning pin I don`t think it was Duff.

It was the first lap and Duff mistakenly made turn 3 a little sooner than it was but spun around and completed the lap correctly.

OK, let me see if I have this straight. trying to piece together all of the cryptic messages, from what I can discern is Duff was in first place until he had to round a buoy and stay in place, after that he slung a blade that sounds like it went through the bottom of the boat, Duff swam ashore and waited until safety came to find him. am I far off base ? Fun Out

No his boat drifted off course into the reeds where he sat for X amount of time.

And I believe it was in the same area as the crash of Mr. Taylor. The announcer thought it was Duff as well until much later in the race.

I asked him a little bit ago about that deal. He said with drawing numbers instead of using qualifing times he knew he was starting dead last and didnt want to put any wear on a brand new ... everything !
He mistook the finish line bouy as the last one ( said he thought he remembered it being that way last year) He did turn around and make it around one of the two bouy's that make up that far corner . So thats where the penelty came from.
I'm not gonna say nuttin about our conversation about bein an old fart .. cuz I are one-too .. :D

The prop's they run are little antique lookin two blade chro-molly things. I've welded little chips and nicks for him and a bunch of guys around here that have Joy-zee Skiffs. One of em does all the finish work, they have never said they had a problem with them. He should have run one of his old beaters ... ;) The one that broke in Az. was brand new. They already shipped the boats to Oz for the championships. But the wheels are going to be normalized, shotpeened, crioed and metalaxed before getting on the plane with him. :thumbsup:

Duff did not go back to pick up turn first lap, 1 of the 2 others that turned early did not as well. He did go back second time by.

Just rewatched the start Racer and you are correct. :thumbsup:

Lap # 1 He didn't realize the mistake and kept going.

Yes to first 2 and to my knowledge yes on the penalty.

Chaz = thinking that with his ability to go 109 -110 down the straight's and carry a lot of momentum thru the turns , he could have probably lapped that entire field a half a dozen times if he wanted to ... and blades didn't break, tanks didn't split, valve train issue's etc ...... Yes I know, it's an enduro :)

Nope, He blew it on the first lap without correcting, then blew it on the second lap but caught it and corrected. He was a lap down at that point.
