...all police officers should be required to get a law degree prior to attending the police academy. its only logical.
The people who go to be police obviously aren't crooked enough to be lawyers.
No cops no arrests so no need for lawyers.
If only that were true. I wonder what % of lawyers are criminal defense?
Think about all the other ones; real estate, marriage, corporate, patent, the list goes on.
My theory on why lawyers are, well, what they are. If people were able to get along and hold up their end of the bargain there would be no demand for lawyers. If there was no demand for lawyers, there would be no lawyers. So is it the lawyers fault, or the person that cannot hold up their end of the bargain?
SS Minnow - Thanks for your comment from the guy who was once accused of being a shyster on this forum.
It's the lack of moral behavior in our society these days. Amoral behavior is everywhere you look. It is seen as OK these days and is the key reason we have the problems we have right now. Honestly, what social issue wouldn't be solved if people followed a strong moral code.
Lack of moral behaviour is one reason. Another is the general lack of being able to accept responsibility for your actions. I call it " I'm not my fault". My father used to say "Do what you say & say what you do".

Sideways again, I give the fukk up......
A lot of morality decline is connected to lack of common sense. Take a scale of morality a plus/minus table; the major problem is the progressive types only need one element on their scale of minus to great people with total disrespect and disdain. This is not a scale and has no balance it’s so skewed towards power abuse and it fuels today’s petty mob justice. The entire approach is poorly thought out which is why these types have to follow the talking points and marching orders and then excuse the bad behaviour with sayings like “if you make an omelette you have to break a few eggs”
no common sense, no rationality, no morality, no bueno
Don't give up!

I am on a phone, but I can go to my photo editor & rotate the pic, save it & it uploads exactly the same EVERY time. I have 4 of this pic; upright, rotated right, upside down & rotated left. Doesn't make a damn which one I upload, this is all I get. Computers tend to irritate me, cuz I'm old & analog.
Wait a sec..what does that sign say again?Attachment 470215

This was in the local paper this morning under the daily arrests. Whoever named this guy had a serious sense of humor.

Or you could go with the gas heater. They were almost safe.

Back to the VW Bug. I drove a '65 in Minnesota for two years. The few times we took a trip from Winona up to the Twin Cities, we had to choose between heat and speed in the winter. At 50 or so, eventually the heater would take the edge off. Crank it up to 65, which was just about flat out, and you pretty much lost any cabin heat.
