I had no idea Mercury had this in the works! Finally a 4 stroke V8 F1 Engine. The exhaust tone is really going to be awesome! Looks like the #4 SSM (studs down?) gearcase, clamp bracket and mid section turn shaft will still be in production. 24V starting? A far cry from what was being said in 2017-2018. UIM F1 - Yes .....APBA? Doubtful. As with any F1 program, deep pockets will be needed to acquire this package. There hasn't been a new USA built hull made in years? I am not sure that APBA will survive a post-Covid19 era? Integration with existing 2.5L two stroke hardware is going to be interesting. SST200 LeMans starts were a disaster when matched with existing SST120 engines. Will it be transition based or racing season deadline driven? We'll see. Sure would be nice if a YouTube video could be posted to hear this thing run!Quote:
