Ok, I never knew my Dad raced this Wing only the 802. Who was the "Flying Dutchman"? Is this Parker or Havasu? What year was this. As for the stern drive picture, we have that one, he was an instructor for a while somewhere. I did love wearing penny loafers.......guess I came about it honestly.
...Jan Schoonover was the Flying Dutchman. He passed away in 2012 at his home in Billings Montana. He was, amoung many others things, a 7 time World Outboard Speed Holder, all powered by Kiekhaefer Mercury Outboard power.
...Jan manufactured these tunnel boats, Dutchman's, out of Lima, Ohio...https://www.screamandfly.com/attachm...1&d=1312900227
...LakeX...maybe you know the guy second from left?...(kissimmee florida race)https://www.screamandfly.com/attachm...9&d=1408923806

Thanks FUJIMO,
Sometime in the mid sixties, dad took us to Lima, Ohio. The gentleman had a cattle ranch (milking cows), I got to try my hand at milking. Do not remember any boats but could this have been associated with Mr. Schoonover? LakeXKid may remember better than I.
This is Roy Ridgell in an unidentified boat and place.
Do you think the boat Roy is in, is a Dutchman 17' tunnel?
