Just why the hell do i do it ????????
Remember i did the small all metal number 1 concept —- “WILKIE TOY”——-well i have started number 2 !
Thought i would do a bi-plane——with floats —and polished brass wings — MAIN REASON WAS BECAUSE IT WILL LOOK GOOD AND VERY EXPENSIVE.
Plus it will be very desirable —especially to someone like MIKE BUTLER. Will be a bit tight trying to get it finished before i leave for warmer climes.
One things for sure, there will n out be many more !!!!!!!!!!! Rarity value will push the price of these small concepts through the roof — last pair of concepts that were auctioned reached well over five thousand pounds .

Head full of ideas on the next move with“THE WILKIE TOY NUMBER 2’. RADIAL ENGINE was causing me a little concern, but a sleepless night found a solution . When i cant sleep is when i find the solution to most of my concept problems.
Will put the plan into action today and see if it’s even feasible!
Been nearly a week of storm BABET and its still not over ! Nine people have died as a direct result of the storm.
Trying to remain neutral over the the Middle East conflict, but am puzzled how it is wrong for retaliation when someone invades and slaughters hundreds in the name of religion ????????
I am no scholar or physiologist —- just a normal everyday sort of person trying to make sense out of what goes on in the world ????????

AS USUAL MOST MONDAY MORNINGS ____ i like to get my head down and arse up, if i get a good start to the week, then the rest of the week usually goes fine too.
almost finished the RED BARON —-12 iron crosses certainly make it look authentic .
Looks like a might have to cobble the pilot myself . Not found anything that even remotely resembles the red baron with a flying helmet and goggles !!!!!!!!!
Finish is exactly what i required —— old—-well worn—-Color faded . Even managed a turn of the century mount which i am quite proud of !!!!!!!

Lycoming Flat head Radial 8 !!!!!!!! Bigger one is Lycoming Domed head Radial 8 ?????
Most radials are nine , but the geometry with an 8 is so much easier , not many ever made !!!!!!!!!

Finally have my “TICKET TO RIDE” American Airlines London/Orlando 31st October — i will be at the “OLD FARTS” on the 2nd and 3rd of November after all. Then a swift trip down to Key West for one last time.
Going for a scan this morning at St Richards hospital in Chichester, been waiting a long time for this, just glad to get it over and done with.
Seems ridiculous that both summer and autumn have been and gone— wont be long before winters over and spring is just around the corner.

Waiting to go to hospital —no point in going in the workshop today. I would have to get showered and poufed afterwards, one bath a day should be enough for any human being.
do get to spend a month in the USA , longest i have ever spent away from home or time spent in America.
A bit sad to think it’s the very last time i will be visiting the USA , but being realistic —- 92 year olds do not go jetting around the world on their own.
I am not the man i used to be either , unfortunately one cannot completely ignore the age factor and it’s insidious consequences.
Even changing a light bulb is a job for someone else !!!
Climbing two out of the three steps on a midget step ladder is a major achievement!!!!!!!!
I find myself reaching out with either one or both hands to achieve a reasonable semblance of walking in a straight line .
As for lifting anything more than an empty paper bag ——forget it!!!!!! Lifting means backache—- backache means non sleeping ———that leads to grumpiness and i am not known for keeping quiet when i hurt.
On the other hand, i simply cannot sit on my arse and do nothing—-Television bores me to tears —its for degenerate children only. Only an utter and complete moron could come up with the commercials that make up 50% of TV today !!!!!!
Ability to act has absolutely nothing to do with todays tv characters —-IT’S COLOUR COMBINATION !!!

Gave Timmy and Debbie Seebold a call this afternoon —-OOPS —WRONG !!!!!!! Timmy had just driven all the way to HAVASU. Only took him 27 hours . It was 3am when he arrived and bedded down. ‘Twas 8-15. Am when i called . Know damned well i was not top of the favourites list but he did manage a smile.
Timmy and Debbie will be at the old farts in Palm City, along with Lynne and Billy Seebold —— Gene Lanham ——Gary and Lou Stray——-Cadillac McDaniel’s ——Odell and most of the still living old farts!
Yes, i will be there after all.

I am a little confused. Is it the 2nd and3rd or the 3rd and 4th? I am planning to come up there but don't want to get the wrong day. Gene when are you planning to be there?
