...nope. not reliable or accurate either, in this type of boats envirement. it has always been this way on all serious offshore boats, no matter the propulsion system. offshores a whole different world of rigging. things are starting to change though.

That is a formed rubber tube that transfers idle exhaust relief to the outside of the newer cowls that went lower covering the idle relief in the tower housing.
