Ive only had to be towed back to the hill once-by a fellow omcer:D
 :D
sure is.
A little Project Laker and I are working on.:D
 You guys up in the cold where you get trapped inside all Winter long come up with the stuff that looks like Sci Fi
Can you say sleeper ;)
I remember how well and how efficiently that boat ran at the Rumble yrs back with stock power
Tell Chris I noticed the gear case too ;) Tell him if he needs any more parts for it to hit me up cuz I have a connection in Mi. that he may not know about??? Good dude and priced right.
Good luck Sarge and let me know if you need anything sense I now live where O/B's come to die.
Just bought a complete '96 225 w/one bad hole for $500.
Gary
I've got one of those cases too. You should see it now that Titus has done his magic to it. I gotta take a picture of it one of these days.
Gator, I will pass it on for ya!
Jeff, He's thinner now! Doesnt get steak dinner once a week at Lakers Kitchen anymore....:D

Laker, how is the V6 cowl coming along? When are you going to install it on the engine:p
Cant wait!
Thats a big foil you have on your gearcase:eek:
The other picture you had a Bob's on it. Satisfied with the bob's one?
The new cowling is coming along well, with the holidays and being out of town for 3-4 days a week with work, progress has been slow. My gear cases have a land & sea cone, the one in the pic here and the 2 other cases are mazco nose cones, I really like the mazco cones. The plate is from eagle one and works awsome.
I like the Mazco too - I can't remember who recommended it, maybe it was you Chris. Mine is well underway.

I welded mine first too. :)

I remember talking to you about it jeff. Welding them on, ANY motor is the way to go.
I have to admit I am not looking forward to cutting the holes for the fittings into the water pump housing. The casting is thin, the hole is big and the fitting will have very little room to swing. Screwing this up will be very easy. :(
Thanks Paul! I'll PM you my work email.
That lower unit looks realy good!
Laker: which one do you prefer: the bob's or eagle one foil?
The foil seems to be very big. Arent you afraid that you caviation plate would crack when going over some wakes:confused:
Bigboy, none of these foils are in the water when underway. The cavitation plate is 15-20 cm above the water.
Which foil do I like? The one that works the best for the given application.
I tried many different units on my boat and the best hole shot was with the eagle one. Most hydrostreams need help getting out of the ditch, this one did the best job. If I could get away without running a plate I would.
It just depends on your setup, boat, motor combo. When I ran an Xflow V4 and the hull wasn’t horribly waterlogged I had great success with an Allison plate mounted back a couple extra inches. A buddy of mines rig worked best with the bobs unit. Only testing will tell but Educated guesses can be made.
Like Jeff said the plate isn’t anywhere near the water once on plane so it doesn’t get beat up.
Who made that big aluminum unit that looks similar to the Triad and Eagleone versions?
Mike Ray made the big aluminum foils. Some people really like the Johnson foils but they are hard to find.
I made this copy of an Allison foil but one inch wider on each side. This is the only dimensioned sketch I have of the flat pattern, sorry about the metric.
I have a dxf of this too if anyone wants it for waterjet or laser cutting.
