Bush says the front half is a small piece of the puzzle. They will help but there is no miracle setup, its about 1000 little things that make power and take eons to do correctly.

My pistons spent 2 wks waiting on my machinist before going some place else. They had them back to me the next day but I did pay the going rate to have them done there..

I left an additional .010" on these to tighten up my squish band a bit.
Kevin, yes. Been working on the new place every day, all day for the last month. Trying to get the motor together before losing my compressor w/the move until I build my garage and then pole barn.

Forgot, here's a couple pix's. Cut pistons and the cut stocker I drilled through to check dome thickness.
And powerabout, if you mean the X front 1/2 they do make more power but are a bitch to get the linkage set up correctly and near impossible to get them to open in sync.

Beefs lit off hope to get the gordon/timing advance/yamaha choke solenoid done today. That should help us find the thin spot in these domes :p
Squish ended up slightly tighter then I thought (rookie mistake) but only .003 should be fine, there is no part numbers to transfer on these pistons :D
How much port work did you guys do in that thing kevin? Just some routine cleanup or?:cool:. Mid bore carbs?
