Is that the mould he made?
To be hinest im not sure, Could be because he is completely rigging it, Its a bare hull
Interesting, especially if it is 21 foot long, do you know where he added the length, does it still have the set back via the pod on the back. I'm thinking if he's extended it to 21 foot and modded the transom it would be a candidate for twins! Nice!
Oz dude, you should check it out.
Hey woodduck - funny... that's what I was just thinking :)
I still have to get down to see Herbie's boat, just had a few things more important up here to do.
Oz
Yeah mines a ski bottom. So there really isnt that many of them here. Certainly get some weird looks at the ramp with it!
Adam
is it only me that just got that stupid "ski bum" ad stuck in my head....
hopefully i can get it stuck in someone elses head!!
The event was Lake Havasu,1979 and it was a Flightcraft with a 235hp Johnson.
The boat is still used in racing around Sydney from time to time.
I found out what "stock appearing" motors really meant at that event.
Never raced at Parker tho.
Ken
Oz – I used to ski down at Chipping Norton quite a bit behind a mate’s half cabin. Believe it or not it’s worse than the Hawkesbury. Loads of wakeboarders and jet skis. The river is a 3rd the width of hawksbury and the skiiable length is only about 3 miles.
Hey Mick - I guess that answers THAT question then :)
We're gonna be on the water ready for a start at 7 in the morning so we can go for an hour training run. Earlier would be good but when the sun is too low you can't pick out the debris in the river clear enough. Considering I saw one boat hauling a tree out of the river last week that had a 12" diameter on it  I want to have as much visibility as possible...
I think I'll get a couple of the guys who run the Georges River regularly to take me for a run but yeah, skiing sounds like a no go.
Bring on Winter - we get far more skiing in!!
Oz
Yep thats it. I was off on my geography just a few miles. I sure liked that little boat. How did it drive? I do think there was one that ran in the parker enduro with a Merc Twister V-6 tho.
See ya next time you come down to run Bistineaux with us.
DB
ps: Bring the Flightcraft! And bring "The Walkin Flower Garden" along too.
I Ski down the georges, Prop not the best for a training run but not a bad river from my point of view, Not as dirty and as much **** as alot of ppl sayy.
i think u missed the part where he said "200ft ropes"
its only any good up there for slalom skiing
Cmon Boiiz lets get some Bullet pics up Here!!
This is the real deal 1650 kevlar and rumoured to be the lightest Bullet built ever. I set it up for ski racing in the 90's for a mate in Albury and after being retired for a while i brought it and brought it back to life. Sold it back to another mate in Albury who got serious with it and set the fastest time EVER for the 175 2.5 class at the Bridge to Bridge boat race couple of years back. Something crazy like over 90 mph avarage over 120 kilometer river course. It is like nearly 20 years old , has not got a single crack in it anywhere, is lighting fast and a testerment to how brilliant the old Aussie Bullets really are.
I often read about the driving skills of the Ally drivers on this site and should mention that Aussie Bullets are an animial all of there own and also require that special skill. I drive own and love Connelly Crafts but have a soft spot for Aussie Bullets. Nothing looks as good as a Bullet at the top end all aired out, i remember when i was racin against them gunel to gunel i was always distracted by how good they looked flying high.
Thanks Ken for posting your picture!! i dont think the blokes here appreciate the fact you are on this site and contrbuting !! thanks heaps fastest man on water EVER!!
