Had one weakness. When used on motor with the big gear case ( 850, 1500) they would break if you tried to put it in reverse without the motor running. If the reverse dogs weren't lined up the little tooth on part #40could shear off.Quote:

The 44 ci motor. That was a warhorse, and proberly Mercs best motor ever.
