No stacks any more. These are Galen's heads. I still have Waynes, I go back and forth.
Why did you loose the stacks? Are one set of heads better than the other?Just curious.

Looking forward to seeing what BRP comes up with in the year 2009, celebrating 100 years of Evinrude.......
Maybe something above 400hp....???
Does anybody really know??
Can anybody help me with information about a 1986 , 24' Baja sport that came from the factory with a v-8 Evenrude xp low water pick up race engine / the motor is a 1985 model .
What do you need to know?
How about this one:

I would like to know as much I could.... Sounds like you know more than me??
Please do tell!!!
I used to live In Cols,Oh and hr from the Baja factory and remember those boats.
Great looking and running boats and Bajas last and biggest O/B (other than fish botes).
Used to be a couple around with 8's on but all I saw were stock.
I doubt yours is a race motor. Most that get them think that but they end up being stock or close to.
If orig. yours is a 3.6 liter motor and was one of the better running modles from what I've seen.
Watch the other thread for more on specifics to the 8's.
The basics are very similar to the 90 degree V-6's of the same era. Three different sized carbs with the biggest only being around the first couple yrs.
Love to see more pics of your rig. It is very rare.
Hope this helps.
Gary

Thank you Gary for the inmormation , I was hoping that maybe I was the only man with thisboat as an outboard ! Sounds like they made a couple though !
I am certainly going to continue investing into this boat to go out on the river and do what this motor has made a name for !
As I get more formilure with this sight I will continue to add pics to my profile and continue to hang out in this sight with all you other Throttle Junkies !
Can't wait to hit the water this coming year !

Here's my contribution to this thread. I know it ain't white or blue(usta was) but it is Dragon Master 4 liter V-8 that runs real good.
Laker, that v4 looks sweet with the new cowl.:D
Thanks Dave.
Thats the first looper cowling I did, a 1989 factory cowling with Johnson 4 stroke decals.
