I took this photo of Barry Woods’ Molinari (what was left of it) at the Toledo Grand Prix, 1986. A bridge somehow got in his way while Barry was testing prior to the race. I remember Barry walking into the post-race banquet, stitches and patches on his face, perhaps a sling or so supporting other body parts - just as confident, energetic and sociable as always. He had survived yet another massive crash … and he wasn’t looking back.
Lesson learned: If anyone can pick themselves up and dust themselves off from a major health trauma, it’s Barry Woods.

IMO what an absolutely beautiful boat. If more boats looked like this maybe more 'big-league' sponsors would get involved. Again, IMO, many of the F1 H2O boats have graphics that are way too busy - remember when racing the boats are often several hundred yards (meters) offshore and going very fast. Many years ago I was able to get Commodore Computers to sponsor a friend of mine here in Canada in MOD U - they were more interested in how many people would see the boat going along major highways to and from races and at trade shows in addition to the spectators at the races.Quote:

"Yes , the CRT motor must go through homologation first . We were going to run in the free practice only. The boat that we were going to put the motor on had a busted leaking fuel cell . They tried to repair but ran out of time. With mostly all teams getting ready for the actual race , there was no option to run it"

"Yes , we have started the process .
We will have the motors (CRX f2 and the CR F1 ) on display at the APBA year conf. in Orlando early Feb. We will attend all meetings pertaining to the future of these motors in APBA and UIM events. We also plan to be in the pro marine booth in Miami with the motors .
We will answer all questions and work hard to acomidate all the applications at both events.

An article in Race Boat International #18 said that Cee in 2000 had supplied motors to four teams. Drivers listed in article were Carlos Maidana , Sami Selio , Philippe Dessertenne , Jonathan Jones .
