So anyway back to the Tuff hahahahah, how much set back should I dump,? the easiest fix is to remove the 5" slide plate, which will remove some weight, like that boat needs to get lighter:rolleyes:

they may be better or worse, but we will never know, those Tuffs are going fast so they must know alot about setup, and honestly some of them have given me advise on a boat that no one here could,, yes the local guys can based there, our, experience on what we have, but the Tuff is different, Im not saying better, and i will never say that, but the handleing characteristics are, and I can say that because Ive been in every varient thats made....
Joe
isn't the static unit made up of angles and aluminum plate bolted together…. seems like you could make up some new plates that are narrower and not have to worry about removing the bracket from the transom.
wicked you coming out sunday? I can assure you unless you show up with a paddle board you'll be faster then me
and as far as the Canadian guys everyone of them that i have spoken to are knowledgeable, and have tried to help me in anyway they could, for they are true pasioneasta's of this sport just like us........ did I make that word up hahahah, maybe I was thinking in Canadian, they do talk funny, not like the normal new york accent we have:D
yes thats definitly something I considered, but if I can find the sweet spot I would be removeing a moving part and a little weight, Im not a big fan of anything that can losen up and move around, and ive seen the bolts elongate the holes, but good Idea I may end up doing that anyway just to have the option of going up and down in small amounts
and I know im not going to be King that day but Ill still be there and if I have to take my lickings, I will as a man, Ill take it on the chin, but during the winter Im sure Ill come up with some excuse:eek::rolleyes::p:D:thumbsup:
Mr Pills???....Once again shooting off your mouth with hearsay that you heard from another ****ing moron with ZERO credibility...I dont have to explain myself to you or my reasoning for selling the boat which was prior to knowing there was an issue with the boat...as soon as i knew there was an issue i took the listing down....I am allowed to buy and sell boats for profit if i please...remember i make a living working on boats....and i dont claim to be a genius...Never have never will...as i said earlier i am humble and know that i am not perfect and no one is...well except you of course...Well at least thats what you like to think...
as for calling me and asking me questions the last time you called was when you were rigging that proline walk around for yourself and you couldnt find the bulkhead fittings for the seastar steering lines...I told you where to get them...it was 2 or 3 years ago...remember that or does your selective memory only remember things you when its convenient for you??? It may have been a trivial thing but its just the point that you knew who to call when you needed something but now I am a jerk off...shows your a class act....
I shut my phone off for 1 day at work and I miss all of this action
Looks like we need to start a new thread. Let's name it "im awesome just ask me" it maybe call it "my uncles cousins boat is fast when I drive it"
The original Merc 300 was static mounted right? Lose the slide and see how that treats you. It's a couple of bolts..and a hoist of course.
I thought this was about the tuff
This thread is about ...........well, I don't know what it's about actually.
