i like the lower front floor and increased storage! i knew i was going to put at least two compartments up there when i get to that stage, not sure why it never occured to me not to elevate the floor!!
Decided to go with a 98 Merc 225 EFI because I know how to fix it myself. I found one that is basically a barn find with really low hours on it. I wanted the new single ecu style but this one was way to nice to pass up. It's a 20" motor and I will mount it on a 12" Stainless Marine standoff box and re-use the 6" Bobs Jack Plate.
I was going to get a custom bracket with integral platform but everyone I've spoken to will only build me a 24". Since I want the jackplate that would put me at 30" back and I think that might be a bit to far. So for now I'll use the standoff and when we close the transom we are going to add a wedge to the bracket mounting area to compensate for the transom angle that way everything will be level.
Thanks.
The lower floor was a requirement to get a natural feeling bench seat height. Plus I never liked the 4" short step up. I knew that some day someone was going to trip.
Note that dropping the floor required some creative modification of the fuel filler neck and vent neck on the tank.

DARREL actually built a flush floor version called the BIMINI model, in the last few years to keep the cost down, was a little lighter, the market went away and so did he...PARAMOUNTS are great boats for our local application...take any water conditions just not the fastest kid in town, but the ride makes up for any defishincy in speed, mine ran low to mid 60's with three diff motors, never messed with the bottom, had enough trouble fixin the floor, before inner liner version, had 5 people on board with coolers ran 50 mph from HOLIDAY ISLE to the CRIB in afternoon slop never spilled a beer....HOO RAHH
Yes, the ride is excellent. Me, Laura and Jessica spent a day north of Pineda Causeway and the wind had kicked up a 1' chop but no one was complaining. I even took it out on the Friday after thanksgiving when it was windy as hell. When I launched at Pineda the waves were rolling into the splashwell at the dock. I took it out in that mess to see how it would do and was impressed.
Where is Holiday Isle and the Crib?
I never did see one of the Bimini models. Sounds like it could have saved me a bunch of work.
HOLIDAY ISLE is in the KEY'S ISLAMORDA, it's a gathering place ocean side sandbar, hundreds of boats each weekend, it's nuts ++ the CRIB is in KEY LARGO the CARRIBEAN CLUB BAR, bayside, popular bar with ramp, nice ride inside channel to the sandbar, we used to put on races there in the day...

I think I've seen the one with the 300etec down in the keys before.
Just put the motor on and haven't had a chance to get numbers. It was really choppy in Miami this weekend.
