I thought Stainless Marine used regular 33C throttle cables that last like 30 years.

Indicator kits use 33c Hardin or Morse cables, sold separately.
The cables don't fail, its the adapter that goes into the pivot bracket and is held by a cotter key that always gave me trouble.

Overall statement is that the pivot and the cable is/has been a bad solution. I know there are some guys who have done some mad scientist things with potentiometers but that is way above my pay grade. I guess no one has come up with a KISS solution to this ongoing problem :(
