We had our Thanksgiving in early October. When I was working, I always told my American co-workers that by late November, Canadians had nothing to be thankful for. That was of course an over statement, as evidenced by an experience yesterday.

I had my car to the dealer yesterday and instead of taking me home in their shuttle vehicle, they sent me home via Uber. The Uber driver was an immigrant from somewhere, but his English was fine. When we got to our house, he was gobsmacked by how wonderful our place is. He said he would dream of it that night.

I always wake up thankful to be living on a lake, but especially so this morning. Remind me not to complain if we get the 12+ inches of snow that is forecast for the next day.
