Bought 2 about a month ago and can't find anymore.So I called NGK and talked to tech dept. and they said was no longer being produced and to use BR8HS part#4322.I told her that it was weird because the last 2 i bought didn't have cardboard or plastic thread protector. I asked if NGK was getting boot legged.She told me to open box before i pay for them and if no thread protector don't buy them.Anyone else heard of this?
Interesting…. I run the BR8HS plugs. Never thought about the plug protector before
I have a 10 pack of B8HS if you want to buy them.
They still make a B8HS-10 and the BR8HS. If you need a resistor type plug run the BR8HS, if not the -10 will run the same as the B8HS.
They always have thread protectors from NGK.
There was a huge problem of counterfeit NGK's... even sold at big "box" stores.

Yeah they have 3 different part numbers for the same plug, one that comes in boxes with thread protectors, the shop pack that comes in Styrofoam, and the display packs that are individuals. I assumed you bought them in cardboard boxes not just loose singles, as that is how they are normally retailed. Thats why I said they always have thread protectors (in those boxes).
