Hey guys, Got a easy question,
Will all Merc exhaust coil plates interchange?
I've got a 2.5 that I'm wanting to use the plate off a 2.0 or 2.4 to mount my coils to, like on a 16amp setup.

Fat block and non-fat black exhaust dividers do not interchange.
No, as was said fat and non fat block different, 2.4 and early 2.0L are 2 piece and some have water cooled regulators.
Dave
tha only ones that work as straight bolt on, for coils and all, are tha high performance 2.5 stuff.. promax/260 etc... (only ones with boss's for tha coil mounts).. if thats what ya tryin' ta accomplish?
Yes, I'm tryin to find one to use on a 2.5 that will allow me to mount the coils to it flat. No bracket with studs and spacers
Look in my posted forsale pic exhaust plates
Yep. I think tux (tony) still has a PM divider for sale. I'm not sure if those dividers make a power difference or not , but that's all I use on my 2.5s because the coil setup looks much cleaner to me , and they have water pressure fitting in divider where fishing stuff don't
I just changed the exhaust divider on my 2.0 135 for a 260 one. I don't think it makes a difference in power.
Upper one is stock, lower one is 260

Yeah, no performance gains, like to use them for reasons 2.5 stated.
Thanks guys I like all the info...
If you want some power gains wile it’s off do the chest work step the exhaust from Bottem of port to top of lower cylinder port just stuff all the exhaust ports with rags and get to work and have a shop vac right there with the grinder that’s a easy 50 Hp good luck!
also the 260 plate is restrictive with the hump on exhaust flow wouldn’t use it!
