I got a PM response to my wanted ad from a new member with zero posts. He gave me an email contact. In the email he requested I send a money order for the parts. I asked for a pic and got this:

My ad is for two 5 petal cages with Boyesen reeds...
Yeah, I reported him the other day to the admin. I finda figured he was scammer. He gave me an email contact and the email came back that they had the part. I ask questions about it and never got a response back. Let's get the feathers and the tar heated up:D
I figured as much. Got 2 private messages from him also.
This has been happening on other sites too, same thing, new user with 0 posts just happens to have a "friend" with the items you need...fricking thieves, be careful guys

Thanks for the heads up - hope everyone sees it beforehand . I believe reporting to the authorities may be warranted . I believe they can locate the address and deal with the individual from the email .- no phone # given and was repeatedly asked .
His account has been banned from the site. I really appreciate the heads up and text, which was a huge help. If anybody sent this guy money, let me know. If you used PayPal, file a fraud complaint immediately and they should refund your money. If there are any issues, call or text me at 239-297-4264.
All new registrations on this site are manually activated by me, and I can usually prevent potential spammers or scammers from becoming active on the site nearly all of the time, but there are always some that will slip through. This is why I'm very grateful for all of your help in stopping them right away.

I don't get what it is with that boat scene and all the scammers. I see it all over the boat groups on FB too. I'm a member on a bunch of car page and never seem to see all the scammer alerts.
Also happening on fishing sites, in the wtb sections. Rods, reels, electronic stuff etc..
I think they target groups that are primarily older wealthy guys who may not be as tech savvy as say the computer gaming crowd!
