All aluminum. However sometimes people will add a cone to a CLE because they are inherently too short for a V-hull, then of course filler is used to fair it in.

Cle's work very well and even better then a Sportmaster on some applications or boats!
My coned cle is 2-3mph faster on average than my sportmaster on my boat.Quote:

If I am not mistaken the CLE has a stainless steel point on the cone. They are great cases with good internals. Would rather have a coned CLE than a Sporty any day.
