AWESOME:thumbsup: With those conditions, probably spent plenty of the race like that.
Great shot!
I should probably clarify, it's a ski race and there is a piece of meat hanging on out the back there also! Lol
The image isn't very clear because it's a still taken from a video.
The video is a really good watch. I'll post some of it up here eventually, but I won't be able to for at least a week when I'm home again.
That would be a second type of boat racing where the Observer has to be nutz, to say nothing of the skier. Jersey Skiffs being the other one.
The only other thing that makes this shot even more amazing is it's being wheeled by my brother in law who is a paraplegic! And the fact he went on to win the race in a little under 1hr.
The boat runs cable and pulley steering and he devised a hand throttle that is linked to the foot throttle so anyone can jump in and use either setup. Our rules stipulate the throttle must spring return to idle so he has to steer one handed all the time.
You aussies really have no fear, do you? Very impressive!
First off I'm IMPRESSED! And that was only the first pic! Then find out more and towing some other fearless back there? And yep, observer has NO CLUE what coming up! And about your BIL? And 1st place? Now REALLY DAMN IMPRESSED! And yep, as I met a lot Aussies in Nam, and yep, fearless AND never have a "lousy day"..just a good time!
Great post! Made my day! Thanks!
Gotta add some more here. As a damn good friend mine who was a snow ski friend mine..(and fearless as GREAT skier too!") But he moved here later west coast, So Cal, and did those ski races, ON ONE ski too! Some what talking about..(TOUGH PEOPLE!);):D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
