What are you putting it on?
Dave
Those are really cool drives, but be aware that props and parts are very hard to find for them.
As posted above, They are becoming more rare by the day, Also where never really bullet proof. I think youd be better suited to a Bravo1 or if speed isn't a factor a Bravo 3. What are you gonna put it on?? Speed boat or cruiser??
I want spares for my Scarab P-29. Thanks for the welcome!!
How about a guess? I've asked on four forums and this is the only one that a least gave me a reply. And I thank you.
$1500.00?
prolly 3,500-5,000
Thanks Capt.
Anyone with one over? Looking for one with cleavers?
I still have a brand new drive transom assembly and sets of each pitch props. Now with the LS Motors kinda waiting for right hull to pop up. There's been a rumor of a 23 sumthin' in the works but maybe I'll make a lamp out of it all.
Cool project to look forward to ! A little advise if you not allready know look for a hull that have natural bow lift so you can mount it so heigh that the bullet is above the hull then it really start to take off !
I had one on my 21 phantom ( uk ) whit a 550 hp ls but that hull didnt have the natural bow lift and kept very wet but still pushed it to 96 mph :)
You're twisting my arm
Value of a Blackhawk drive is really tough. I think you would be very smart to have a spare drive as these drives are rare and hard to get. Not sure about the parts available from Mercury. I would expect limited supply. Under $3000 would be a deal. Possibly they are hard to sell as so few are out there. But if you need one you might have to really pay real money. I think the answer is nobody really knows.
