Mullins in Winter Haven
Mike Mullins owns the molds and the rights to the Mirage . But as to who is actually building them ,I don't know . It is my understanding that they are contracted out . So who really knows . This contracting deal is what got the Mullins boat a bad reputation in the begining ,as there was no apparent quality control going on between the Mirage Boats ,and the actual builder .

The Collins Mirage was built just north of me near Dallas... It is my understanding they were the ones to own. David Adams at Liberator builds a copy, but last I talked to him, with things being slow everywhere, he wasn't building more boats unless it was one being ordered. I'll probably be calling him in a couple of weeks and dropping by there for a few things.
Very interesting. How long has mullins had the molds ?
His name is Mike Mullins, the mailing address is 701 Ave I NW, Winter Haven, Fl 33881 ...........The e-mail address is mirageboatsinc@aol.com and the phone number is 863-581-7807 Good Luck:D
I've never seen any pics posted of a Mullins Mirage in the build process or the building where they are built.......why is that? We all know someone is building them.......but who and where? Maybe he's doing something differest than he was back in 2000, cuz his business address at that time was an old boatyard.......no boats being built at that location for sure. He wouldn't take me to where they were built either. Why the big secret???? Show us please!
At least when Brad built em, you could go right there and watch him do it.
MIke builds them in house mine was the last one built at the old rally sport building, he has been building them for 3-4 years now and I have seen them from gel- to finished product, the laminators are employees of Mike so no subcontracting, and the quailty is there, Matt
Mullins has been building Mirage since 1998. he had the glass work subcontracted out for a while (with Rally Sport) because his building at the time was too close to a school for hazardous chemical use (ie. fiberglass) he now does all the building in house. I was there in early 2007 and he let me go throughthe place-not much to see as Fiberglass work isn't too glamerous.
My dealings with Mullins left me with a bad impression. I sure hope he has changed things since then, cuz I sure do like the Mirage hull.
I just got off the phone with him. Really nice guy to say the least. I got all the info I needed from him.
Sucks to hear that. I called and left a message, he called me back within an hour of me leaving the message. We BS'd for about 25 min, he gave me the address of his facility and an open end invitation to stop by and see him If I ever get out in his area.
