The Southern Outlaw Dragboat Association's Spring Showdown is coming in a few weeks at Lake Eustis, FL. Lake Eustis is an ideal location for racing and the city fully supports the race.
This was more than a race; it was an event. There were hundreds of people from the city watching the action from the shore and the anchorage area. If you want to see and hear fast boats with crazy outboards along with that those wonderful blue clouds of two-stroke oil, this is where you should be!
I will be there shooting photos and live-streaming video from the starting boat. I covered the Summer Showdown last year and it was a spectacular experience. SODA did a fantastic job organizing the race and the turnout was massive. You can see the article on that race here.
