Mercury Marine's Impressive Showing At Miami

MIAMI, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2020) — The 16 Mercury Marine boat slips at the 2020 Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) will give event visitors a firsthand look at why boat builders and dealers increasingly turn to Mercury for outboards, controls, rigging and integrated technologies.

The selection of boats on display in the Mercury Marine slips will include vessels from three manufacturers who are displaying boats with Mercury engines for the first time and five new Mercury‑equipped boats making their MIBS debuts. And three more boats will be equipped with multiple Mercury Racing 4.6‑liter V8 450R supercharged outboards. These 450hp beasts will be making their first appearance at MIBS.

Visitors to the Mercury dock tent on Pier 2 will be able to use convenient touchscreen kiosks to sign up for demo rides from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. They will get to experience the thrilling acceleration and top‑end performance of Mercury Marine engines while also seeing a variety of technological solutions that make boating easier, more intuitive and more enjoyable. These include innovations in joystick control, assisted docking, automated trim settings, boater‑overboard and safety alerts, advanced navigation, engine monitoring and maintenance, and fuel management.

"Our dock presence will showcase the versatility of Mercury power and integrated systems. The Mercury‑powered boats in our slips will represent a cross section of boating categories, including luxury, sport, fishing and racing models," said Randy Caruana, Mercury vice president of sales for North America, Central America and Asia Pacific.

"Mercury power will also be proudly on display in the exhibit halls and along the docks on boats manufactured by our many valued partners. And, of course, Mercury engines equip all the boat brands representing our parent company, Brunswick Corporation," Caruana said. Brunswick brands debuting new models at the 2020 MIBS include Bayliner, Boston Whaler and Sea Ray.
