• BRP Expands Its Evinrude Dealer Network

Sturtevant, Wis., July 14, 2014 – BRP has added more than 50 new Evinrude dealers to its rapidly expanding dealer network in recent months. These new dealers from Florida to Alberta, Canada will offer the complete line-up of BRP’s Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines as well as provide top-of-the-line service and parts on all Evinrude products, as well as on existing Johnson products.

“Our dealers are our best ambassadors and they are instrumental to moving our company forward,” said Alain Villemure, vice-president and general manager of BRP’s Marine Propulsion Systems division. “BRP redefined the boating industry in June with the launch of our new E-TEC G2 product; adding new dealers to our proven sales network expands the opportunity to share our newest technology with consumers as we redefine the future of outboards.”

BRP’s Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine offers an audacious new look in engines along with best-in-class fuel economy. The new 200-300 hp offering also exceeds all emissions standards and offers power and torque when boaters need it most. Complete with a new warranty that gives owners five hundred hours on the water without required dealer servicing, the G2 goes into full production in November 2014.

Hate to be negative but, this is what BRP does for us, lets us know how many dealers they have added to there network. All of witch don't have a outboard any of us would even consider using? They will never gain performance boaters without a light weight performance motor.

I started researching engines again considering options. The G2 looks good and of course the hype about torque is nice but until they actually start building a TRUE high performance motor they just won't gain any traction. I finally had to go to Bombardier just to find a dealer. No one knows anything about the motors at all (even the dealers) C'mon man! It would be nice if someone would build a motor that was at least in the ballpark with Merc. Yep yep, I hear the Yami hype but with the exception of a rare singular highly modified engine no one can even come close. Bombardier, if you really want to sell engines find a real high performance dealer and SUPPORT them! get them parts, teach them the product and then get the product out there even if you have to discount it like the car dealers and offer 0% financing. Make it perform and make people take notice and PUBLICIZE IT! No one gets it except Merc. They have raced for years and that has translated into a better product that performs stock or modified. Bombardier....DO SOMRTHING!!!
