• Mercury To Launch Ship’s Log Mobile App

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Mercury Marine will launch Ship’s Log, a free mobile app designed for boaters of all kinds, at the 2012 International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference trade show next week in Louisville, Ky.

Ship’s Log provides an easy method of recording and sharing on-water experiences by automatically gathering time, weather and location information. With each log, users can enter and track engine data, create comments and notes about each log and upload photos. Boaters can easily share log entries with friends and family through the Ship’s Log community website or through social networks.
"Whether you’re an outdoorsman looking for the best fishing location, a high-performance fan tracking engine data or a pleasure boater out with your family, Ship’s Log is going to enhance your time on the water,” said Kevin Hellman, assistant product manager at Mercury. “The Ship’s Log community-based site is a digital home for all your information, data and memories.

“You can easily explore other user’s logs, so it’s fun to see where the pros are fishing or where your favorite local guide is headed for the day, or share photos and logs on social networks. Ship’s Log is just a great tool for anyone on any boat with any engine. It’s truly universal.”

Ship’s Log will be available for download from the App Store beginning Oct. 2. To explore, visit http://shipslog.mercurymarine.com/.
