• Mercury Unveils New Styling For OptiMax Pro XS Lineup

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Mercury has unveiled a new graphics package for its highly regarded OptiMax Pro XS lineup of outboard engines.

The OptiMax Pro XS, which ranges in power from 115 – 250 hp, remains the engine of choice among serious anglers. After listening to consumers and testing various designs, Mercury created a graphics package that mirrors the special-edition tournament graphics typically seen at events such as the Bassmaster Classic.

"Mercury's Pro XS outboards have long been known as the fastest, most proven bass engine on the planet, having won more tournaments than all other brands combined,” said Steve Miller, product manager for the OptiMax Pro XS line. “Nothing makes this clearer than the new Pro XS graphics on the 2013 Program Year models. This edgier, tournament-grade graphics package puts a higher emphasis on the Pro XS name, which is exactly what our die-hard competitive anglers have asked for."

Various OptiMax Pro XS tournament editions have been introduced by Mercury Marine – the world leader in the design and manufacture of recreational marine engines – over the last three years. The new graphics are intended to provide continuity and a stylish, contemporary edge to the PRO XS series. Production of the new OptiMax Pro XS with the upgraded graphics package has begun, and new inventory is arriving at distribution centers.

Looks like somone skipped a few art classes. Sometimes less is more. My last motor I bought I took a couple of hours with a heat gun. Its a motor cowl not a billboard. Just my .02.
