Consistent with the award-winning Verado brand, the new V10 engines are the quietest and smoothest in their class running 45 percent quieter than a leading competitor at cruise. In addition to NVH, the new Verado’s are not only compatible with the latest Mercury SmartCraft® technologies but will also be offered with an optional dual-mode 48V/12V alternator to seamlessly pair with Navico Group’s Fathom® e-power system, an integrated lithium-ion auxiliary power management system, providing boaters the opportunity to eliminate an onboard generator system.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (Oct. 10, 2022) – Mercury Racing, a division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE:BC) and leading provider of high-performance marine propulsion systems, is launching a fund-matching and fundraising Hurricane Ian Relief program to support the Cape Coral, Fla., and Fort Myers, Fla., communities.

Company Adds Manufacturing Space, Meets Global Customer Demand ▼

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (Sept. 13, 2022) – Mercury Racing, a division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE:BC), held a ground-breaking ceremony today for its manufacturing operations plant expansion to help meet global customer demand for the company’s high-performance marine propulsion systems.

The two-phase construction project will add 40,000 square feet of manufacturing operations space to the southwest corner of the existing Fond du Lac, Wis. facility and expand the current propeller shop by 8,000 square feet on the north side of the building. The project will bring the Racing facility to nearly 150,000 square feet.

GALEON 325 GTO / TWIN MERCURY 400 HP OUTBOARDS

Sharrow Marine collected data on a Galeon 325 GTO with twin Mercury 400 HP outboards. The boat has a L.O.A of 32’ 9” and a beam of 10’ 11” and a deadrise of 21. Dry weight is listed as 14,200 lbs. and the estimated test weight was 15,200 lbs. The customer asked us to develop a propeller that would get the boat on plane at a lower RPM and keep it on plane at lower RPM to allow a greater range of cruising speeds.

Mercury Racing 360 APX Outboard to Power Two-Seat Ride Experience Boat ▼

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (April 25, 2022) – Mercury Racing has entered a two-year sponsorship program with the Formula One Powerboat Championship series. The agreement is for the 2022 and 2023 racing seasons and names Mercury Racing the Official Maine Engine and Drive Sponsor. For the next two seasons a Mercury Racing 360 APX outboard will power the Formula One Race Ride Experience, a two-seat tunnel boat available for high-speed media and VIP demonstration laps at each race venue.

Drive Features Cockpit-Controlled Variable-Pitch Propeller ▼

Most of us know Fred Kiekaefer, as not only the son of the founder of Mercury Marine, Carl Kiekaefer, but as the former president of Mercury Racing. And we all know his engineering and design accomplishments there represent the very soul of Mercury Racing.

After leaving from Mercury Racing, Fred started his own company, K.Lab Design Works, and has just received a patent for a surfacing drive with a cockpit-controlled variable-pitch propeller. Originally known as Project Dolphin, this drive is intended for larger, heaver performance boats, and the prototype unit shown below was tested on a 39-foot deep V-bottom hull.
